Protocol for hanging artwork in public areas

These protocols have been agreed to help protect our homes and retain the friendly environment we value.

They take into account current fire and safety regulations and try to maintain the level of decoration that we now have.

  • Artwork can only be hung on the wall adjacent to the stairwell in the lift lobby areas on floors 1 – 7 inclusive.
  • Artwork must be firmly fixed to ensure that it cannot fall or cause an obstruction (ideally being held in place at least two points).
  • No artwork can protrude more than 3cm from the wall.
  • A maximum of 3 pieces of artwork can be fixed to any floor.
  • All leaseholders on the floor must agree to the artwork before it is installed.
  • Any damage caused during fixing or removal of artwork must be made good by the person (s) doing the work. There can be no expectation that repairs will be charged to the maintenance fund.
